What is Existential Therapy?
Existential therapy is a philosophical approach to psychotherapy that focuses on fundamental questions of human existence: meaning, freedom, choice, responsibility, isolation, and mortality. Rather than treating symptoms, it explores how you relate to life's inevitable challenges and helps you live more authentically. This approach recognizes that anxiety, depression, and other difficulties often stem from existential concerns—feeling stuck, lacking purpose, avoiding freedom, or struggling with life's uncertainties. Together, we examine not just what troubles you, but how your worldview and choices shape your experience.
In our sessions, we explore your unique way of being in the world. We look at how you make choices, create meaning, and relate to freedom and responsibility. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space where you can practice new ways of being. While existential therapy remains the foundation of my work, I also integrate practical approaches—Logic-Based Therapy (LBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other methods—when they serve your goals. The focus is always on helping you live more freely and meaningfully.
